Water (and woodland) colours

It may be winter here in the UK, and it may be pretty damp and cold, but armed with a baby carrier, Saul and I are still able to head out and enjoy the fresh air and winter colours fairly regularly.

Today, we went for a stroll in the woods around Fernilee reservoir in the Peak District.

It was muddy, but what else were wellies invented for?

Fig, as usual, slept through a lot of it, every now and again opening his eyes to look indifferently at the trees around him.

We use the Babybjorn Original Carrier; it’s so easy to put on (two pieces that simply clip together) and so easy to pop baby in (even without help), and it totally feels sturdy enough to use with no hands!

At three months, Fig is now holding his head up well enough that we can fold down the head support and just use our hand to hold him (when he’s awake) if he wants to look around.

As much as I’m already starting to look forward to the first signs of spring, I do genuinely love every season, and the muted colours of this winter woodland are a Farrow and Ball feast.
